Project STAT

Bethanna developed Support to Adolescents in Transition (Project STAT) to reduce the number and frequency of disruptions in adolescent foster care placement. Weekly sessions concentrate on building self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and life skills in teenagers through group activities, mentoring, group discussions, and field trips.

What are the goals for this service?

  • Decrease disrupted placements by fostering resiliency, accountability, and positive relationships with parents or caregivers
  • Promote intervention, prevention, and support programs targeted specifically to foster care teenagers
  • Counter negative behaviors that often lead to a child leaving their foster home
  • Who is eligible for this service?

Teenagers age 13 and older currently supported by Bethanna's foster care services.
