Outpatient Mental Health Services

Bethanna's Outpatient Mental Health Clinic offers a full spectrum of behavioral health services that ensure clients and the community have access services that improve their quality of life. Community Treatment has three levels of service:

What are the goals of this service?

  • Providing services based on the Pennsylvania Child and Adolescent Service System Program principles
  • Adhering to regulations governed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Philadelphia's Office of Behavioral Health and Philadelphia's Office of Mental Health
  • Who is eligible for Outpatient Care?

  • Age 3 to 21
  • Served by Bethanna services or referred by the courts and other social service agencies
  • Experienced trauma, severe, abandonment, or exposure to violence;
  • Demonstrate symptoms of anxiety or mood disorders;
  • Involved with the child welfare system;
  • Demonstrate social problems with peers or siblings;
  • Exhibit dangerous behavior in the past, but are now stabilized;
  • Previously admitted into inpatient or residential care;
  • Histories of academic and behavioral problems in school
  • What services are offered?

  • Comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluations and re-evaluations and biopsychosocial Assessments
  • Individual, family, play, art and group therapy
  • Play, art and group therapy
  • Medication evaluation and monitoring
  • Crisis intervention
  • Clinical case coordination - review and monitoring
  • If more intensive services are necessary, clients are referred to Clinical Transition and Stabilization Services and other programs in the region that provide the level of care needed to achieve stability. Clients with special needs, such as autism, moderate intellectual deficiencies and sexual offending, are referred to specialized programs.
